Story: One (Bengali : ওয়ান) is an upcoming Indian Bengali language action thriller film directed by Birsa Dasgupta and dialogues penned by Abhimanyu Mukherjee. Produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the production company SVF Entertainment, the film stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Yash Dasgupta and Nusrat Jahan in leading roles. The film's soundtrack is composed by Arindam Chatterjee. The official poster was released by the production house on their official twitter account. The film is slated to release on April 14th 2017. The film is an official remake of the Tamil film Thani Oruvan in which the concept of implanting electronic bug (GPS + audio transmitter) from the 2010 Korean movie I Saw the Devil was used in an inverse manner.
The movie songs sung by various artists. All songs are composed by Arindom Chatterjee. The songs are Aladdin, One Title Track and Jodi Bolo.
Following the success of Thani Oruvan, it was reported that the film will be remade in Telugu and Bengali languages. Shree Venkatesh Films was likely to bankroll the Bengali version with Prosenjit Chatterjee and Jeet in leading roles. However, the project didn't matrialise. But in Jan 12 2017, it was reported that Birsa Dasgupta was going to direct the film with Yash Dasgupta (whom he directed in his debut film) and Nusrat Jahan in lead roles. At that time, Dasgupta was looking for the role of the anti-hero of the film. Though the buzz was that a top star might be playing the baddie in the film, everyone was tight-lipped about it. In Nov 2016, it was announced that Prosenjit Chatterjee, who was initially rumoured to play the role, was roped to play the role. Dasgupta described Chatterjee's character as "the hero in a negative role".
