Story: Coffee with D is an upcoming Hindi film starring Sunil Grover, Zakir Husain, Dipannita Sharma and Anjana Sukhani directed by Vishal Mishra and produced by Vinod Ramani.
Arnab is a popular news anchor, he has an expensive lifestyle and a pregnant wife to take care of and losing his job would mean a failure on both counts. But the world trusts Arnab to come up with something new as he has always done and so he does! He decides to infuse a new lease of life in his show by announcing an interview with the most infamous and most wanted don of the Mumbai underworld, 'D'.
Coffee with D is a hilarious escapade of Arnab and his team of Neha, Roy, Rummy and Chussi. The plot revolves around how Arnab manages to get an audience with D in Pakistan and the extent to which he has to go to make that happen. And finally, the interview with the man himself whose motivations of doing this interview are totally different and utterly sinister.

On 2nd January, Vishal Mishra filed a complaint against callers who have been threatening them to make changes in the film if it shows the underworld don in a bad light. The film’s director and producer, Vinod Ramani alleged that they were receiving threat calls since December 14, 2016, from different numbers and locations on a daily basis. The film postponed from 6th January to 20th January, 2017 for the same reason.
There are four different types of music tracks in the album. Title track Coffee with D sung by Anu Malik has his punch and panache! And this song gives you a feel of an underworld era! Another track is a Qawwali – Ali Ali by Shabab Sabri which evokes devotion in you! Shaan has sung Nation Wants to Know which is a peppy track and takes you into the virtual world which exists today. A romantic number Tumhari Mohabbat by Aakanksha Sharma & Shaan lifts your mood and makes you dreamy eyed! All songs have been composed by music band Superbia which has Shaan, Gourav Dasgupta & Roshin Balu. Sameer Anjan is the lyricist.
