Story: Mubarakan is an upcoming Indian romantic comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee, produced by Sony Pictures Networks, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde. The film revolves around Kartar Singh’s (Anil Kapoor) dysfunctional family consisting of two identical twins.
Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz and Athiya Shetty will be playing the lead roles in the film. The film is slated to release on 28th July, 2017.

Mubarakan is a fun movie about twins played by Arjun Kapoor in a double role, falling in love with Ileana D'cruz and Athiya Shetty and how the movies then goes on to become a roller coaster ride. Arjun Kapoor plays the role of Karanveer Singh as well as Charanveer Singh. Karanveer Singh a.k.a Karan, is the obedient brother, whereas Charanveer Singh a.k.a Charan, is the mischievous brother. Arjun Kapoor, who will co-star with uncle, actor Anil Kapoor for the first time in Mubarakan. In Mubarakan, the chacha-bhatija duo portray their off screen relationship.
The film revolves around Kartar Singh’s (Anil Kapoor) dysfunctional family consisting of two identical twins: An urban guy Karan, and the naive Charan, both played by Arjun Kapoor. One is brought up in Chandigarh and the other in London. The fun starts when their families start searching for a bride for them, unknown to the fact that they already have girlfriends. Will their genius uncle, Kartar be able to get them out of this mess or create more confusion?

The makers of the film have decided to cast Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor in the film. The rest of the cast has been finalised.
The principal photography and filming commenced in November, 2016. The film was shot in England in December, 2016 and March and April, 2017. Apart from London, the film has also been shot in Punjab, India in February, 2017.
The music rights rights of the film has been acquired T-Series. The music of the fim has been composed by Amaal Mallik, Gourov Roshin, Rishi Rich and Yash Anand while the lyrics have been penned by Kumaar. Its first song "Mubarakan Title Track" was released on 22 June 2017. The second single titled as "Hawa Hawa" which is sung by Mika Singh and Prakriti Kakar was released on 29 June 2017. The whole soundtrack of the film was unveiled on 6 July 2017 by T-Series which consists 6 songs.
